The apparatus forming the subject of the parent Specification and for the continuous extrusion of filled hollow bodies is modified in that in the mandrel of the extrusion nozzle is formed a die having an outlet 11 for the extrusion of an adhesive medium 17, for coating the inner wall surface of the envelope material by extrusion to bond the latter to the foam plastics filling material 14. A further die 15 may be formed in the mandrel for extruding a strong plastics material as a reinforcing element in the material 14. Additionally passages (not shown) may be provided in the mandrel for reinforcing insertions for the extruded body such as metal wires, and organic and inorganic filaments and strands.
