A process for producing refractory metal alloy powders includes the steps of blending (12) at least one powder with at least one solvent and at least one binder to form a slurry; forming (14) a plurality of agglomerates from the slurry; screening (16) the plurality of agglomerates; sintering (18) the plurality of agglomerates; and melting (20) said plurality of agglomerates to form a plurality of homogenous, densified powder particles.
