PURPOSE: A lad-cut unit and a retractor for a seat belt having thereof are provided to protect passengers from load delivered from the seat belt. CONSTITUTION: A retractor for a seat belt comprises a spool(100), a pinion(200), a pretensioner, a load limiter(300), and a load unit(400). The spool is wound with a webbing. The pinion is connected to one end of the spool. In case an impact is added from outside, the pretensioner runs the pinion in order to retract the webbing. The loading limiter prevents an action of over pre-set operating load. The load unit is installed between one end of the spool and the pinion. After the operation of pretensioner is completed, the load cut unit separates connection of the spool and the pinion.
