PURPOSE: A Doppler center frequency information extracting method for synthetic aperture radar image formation and a media for practicing the same are provided to precisely extract Doppler center frequency information by applying polynomial fitting method of least square error base. CONSTITUTION: Information of the image center of a target location and information of a loaded body of an SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) sensor are used for all SAT(Synthetic Aperture Time) section every PRI(Pulse Repetition Interval). A slope distance between the loaded body of the SAR sensor and the image center is obtained through Taylor Series(S110). The slope distance is modeled to a type of a quadratic polynomial expression by applying a Polyfit(Polynomial Fitting) mode of LSE(Least Square Error) base(S120). Doppler center frequency and Doppler frequency changing rate are obtained from an expression which uses a first coefficient and a second coefficient of the quadratic polynomial expression(S130).
