A drawer 1a is slidably mounted in a housing 2a by guides 3, 4 at the sides of the drawer, one guide 3 comprising interengaging runner parts 6, 7 which allow movement only in the direction of sliding and the other guide 4 comprises a compensating guide allowing movement in both the direction of sliding and in a direction across the width of the drawer. As shown, channel section rails 7, 18 secured to the drawer sides slide by their upper sides 12, 22 on fixed rails 6, 19 secured to the walls 2a of the housing. The channel rails 7, 18 may be inverted so that the free end of a lipped portion 10 bears on the fixed rails. The fixed rails may be of channel, angle or Z-section. |
