PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for searching video using metadata thereof are provided to search video in which various meta data corresponding to various search conditions is preset by receiving various search conditions. CONSTITUTION: A user input unit(130) receives search conditions. A control unit(180) searches the meta data which is preset in one or more partial sections in the video as the meta data corresponding to the inputted search condition. An output unit(150) outputs identifying information about one or more partial sections in which the searched meta data is preset according to the control of the control unit.
