<p>Planting TrayAbstractA planting tray for use on roofs includes a reservoir for retaining water, a meshplate supported above the reservoir and one or more wicks supported by the plate anddepending into the reservoir for wicking water from the reservoir. The mesh plate iscovered by a geo-textile and a layer of planting media. he reservoir has a base and sideand end walls and a ledge extending around the internal perimeter of the reservoir. Thelower part of the reservoir is divided into cells by internal walls. Two outlets/exits areprovided at a height which is slightly lower than the height of the ledge above the base.The outlets are in fluid communication with sockets defined on the underside of thetray for receiving spigots in fluid communication with a network of pipes, thusallowing drainage of water to the network of pipes. Removal and replacement of traysfrom the network of pipes is possible. Elongate recesses are defined on the undersideof the tray for accommodating the pipes.Fig 1</p> |
