PURPOSE: A power control system in home network environment, power control method, and home network control apparatus are provided to control the power of a set top box according to the power state of the set top box in real time. CONSTITUTION: A home IPTV(Internet Protocol TeleVision) terminal(106) is connected through an IP network within a home network. A home network control apparatus(102) transmits a power control command corresponding to the remote power control command to the home IPTV terminal in case a power state determination result is different from the remote power control command received from a broadcast management system.
