Micro combined heat and power unit and fuel burner with heat exchange systems

Disclosed is a micro combined heat and power (mCHP) unit comprising: an internal combustion (IC) engine for driving a generator, a first heat exchanger configured to transfer waste heat energy from the IC engine and/or the generator to useful heat energy in a working fluid, a fuel burner, and a second heat exchanger configured to transfer the heat of combustion from the burner exhaust to useful heat energy in the working fluid. Also disclosed is a flue system and method of use, several variations of the mCHP device and a piston head and associated method of manufacture.
