<p>A blood characteristics measuring probe (1) coated liquid-tightly with a sheath (21) comprising a light applying section (3) for applying near infrared lights of first wavelength ?1 (805±30 nm) and second wavelength ?2 (660±60 nm) into blood and a light receiving section (4) for receiving reflected light of near infrared light applied into the blood, wherein the light applying section (3) and the light receiving section (4) are arranged substantially in parallel, the interval (SD) between the center (7C) at the distal end (7) of the light applying section (3) and the center (8C) at the distal end (8) of the light receiving section (4) is set at 0.9-3.0 mm in order to constitute a light transmitting/receiving section (2) separated from an electronic circuit section (30) including a light emitting element (13) and a light receiving element (14), and the light applying section (3) and the light receiving section (4) are constituted, respectively, of an irradiation optical fiber (5) and a receiving optical fiber (6).</p> |
