The torsion bar spring is provided with a curved substantially tubular element (1) which forms a torsion spring. The tubular element consists of a reinforced fibers plastic material, where one of the ends (3) of the tubular element partially overlaps another element. The latter element has a thread in the overlapping area, which surrounded the material of the tubular element in form-fitting manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a torsion bar spring.
