PASSIVE MAGNETIC POSITION SENSOR

Flexible contact elements (5) are moved by a magnet (2) against a resistor device and have first (10) and second (11) contact studs, (CS) with which they are set to face contacts (7). The magnet is capable of pressing the CS against the contacts. If one of the CS is prevented from making contact through accumulation of dirt (12) on the contacts, contact is made through the other CS.
