The invention relates to an expander with a support, which comprises a wound torsion spring and each working arm of which is or comprises a lever, at the end of which is a support for the forearm, a handle being provided between the spring and the support and being perpendicular or parallel to the spring axis, wherein the center of each support is located in the middle plane of the spring and each handle, irrespective of the position thereof, is located above that plane. The expander can have an angled lever for the torso muscles with the supports on the inner side of the forearms, and have crossed levers for the shoulder and back muscles with the supports on the outer side of the forearms. The expander can also include two springs arranged on opposite sides of a crossbar and having parallel axes. The handles and the supports can be formed by bends in the levers, and the levers are coated with a rubber or polymer material. |
