OPTICAL MODULES

摘要

PURPOSE: An optical module is provided to minimize mismatching of characteristic impedance by being electrically connected with a flexible printed circuit board for high frequency signal transmission by using a metal optical stand or a silicon optical stand. CONSTITUTION: An optical module(100A) comprises a thermoelectric element(110), an optical stand(120), a lens(140), semiconductor chips(152, 154), a flexible printed circuit board(130), a matching resistance element, and a metal package member(100). A micro type thermoelectric element is provided inside the metal package member by a supporting plate(104) and a support pillar(106). The optical stand is provided to the top of the thermoelectric element. The lens and the semiconductor chips are respectively provided in the inner side of a first trench(122) and a second trench(124) of the optical stand.
