A cyclone (1) for separating solid particles from an exhaust gas flow (6), comprising a housing (2), which has a jacket area (2a) that is cylindrical at least in some sections, a cover area (2b), and a bottom area (2c), an inlet opening (3), and an exhaust gas line (5) opening into said inlet opening (3) for the exhaust gas flow (6) mixed with solid particles, and a discharge opening (11) for the solid particles separated from the exhaust gas flow (6), wherein an immersion pipe (9) is provided, which has a penetration area (9b) which passes through the housing (2), and an open end area (9a) which protrudes into the interior (15) of the housing (2) and which is used as an outlet opening (4) for the purified exhaust gas flow (6″) from the housing (2). According to the invention, at least one pure gas line (8) used for the supply of pure gas (12) is provided, with said pure gas line either opening into an inlet area (7) provided in the exhaust gas line (5) before the inlet opening (3) as viewed in the flow direction of the exhaust gas flow or opening directly into the inlet opening (3), and said pure gas (12) being fed to an inner wall section (21) of the housing (2), at which inner wall section a boundary layer flow having an increased concentration of solid particles compared to the exhaust gas flow (6) mixed with solid particles would develop if the pure gas (12) were not supplied. |
