<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress separation between a hydrogen-permeable metal layer and an electrolyte layer, in a fuel cell provided with an electrolyte membrane formed by stacking the hydrogen-permeable metal layer and the electrolyte layer. <P>SOLUTION: An MEA 100A is manufactured by partially forming the electrolyte layers 120 and cathode electrodes 130 at predetermined intervals on one surface of the hydrogen-permeable metal layer 110 depositing palladium layers 104 and 106 on both surfaces of a vanadium layer 102. In addition, an MEA 100B is manufactured by forming a Pd-V alloy layer 115 by radiating a laser beam to a part A2 of the MEA 100A without having the electrolyte layer 120 formed from the cathode electrode 130 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
