摘要 The invention relates to a method for manufacturing refractories comprising high-concentration binding suspension (HCBS) based on a high-alumina material comprising 60–90 wt. % AlOThe method includes preliminary preparing a high-alumina based seed suspension with a volume concentration of 50–60%, comprising 10–20 wt.% particles less than 1μm in size, 40–60 wt.% particles less than 5 μm in size and the rest - particles 5–200 μm in size. The seed suspension prepared is added into a mill charge for preparing HCBS by joint milling a high-alumina material and said seed suspension with following component ratio in terms of dry material: 75-85 wt. % of said high-alumina material with particle size up to 5mm and 15–25 wt. % of a milled material in a form of the seed suspension. Wet milling is performed for obtaining HCBS having a volume concentration 65-72%, pH 8.5-9.5 and comprising 1-4 wt. % particles less than 0.1μm in size, 15-25 wt. % particles less than 1μm in size, 40-60 wt. % particles less than 5μm in size and the rest - particles 5–200 μm in size. The HCBS obtained is stabilized, mixed with a refractory filler and formed with subsequent drying and heat treatment. The seed suspension may be added with 15-25 wt. % quartz glass. Milling is performed at a value of an active mill zone indicator α=70-80 %. Refractories may be formed by means of pressure molding, vibration compaction, spin casting, ramming, casting and vibration casting.
