PURPOSE: An apparatus for cutting a bag is provided to easily cutting a bag by cutting the side surface of the bag with a cutting wheel while driving the electric cutting wheel on a rail. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for cutting a bag comprises a cylinder(14), an outer case(20), a lifting case(30), a lifting plate(15), and a cutting unit. The lifting case of which size is to cover the bag is installed in the in the outer case. If the cylinder goes up, the lifting case goes down. The cutting unit has a cutting wheel(57) for cutting the bag. A vertical fixed rail is arranged in the inner surface of the outer case. A vertical moving rail moving along the vertical fixed rail is arranged in the outer surface of the lifting case. The cutting unit comprises a circular rail(51) in the outer surface of the lifting case, a driving frame, a pinion, a gear part(56) having caterpillar to move the driving frame, and a cutting wheel for cutting side surface of the bag.
