<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of enhancing energy density and cycle characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The battery is equipped with a rolled electrode body 10 formed by rolling a positive electrode 13 and a negative electrode 14 through a separator 15 and an electrolyte 16. The open circuit voltage in a full charge state is present in a range of 4.25-6.00 V. A positive active material layer 13B contains a positive active material including Co as a constituting element, and the content of Co in the positive active material layer 13B is 30-60 mass%.
