PURPOSE: An apparatus for purifying soil and a method for purifying the soil using the same are provided to reduce time and cost required for a soil purifying operation by effectively eliminating heavy metal. CONSTITUTION: A screen(10) separates soil into particle sizes. A cleaning unit(30) sprays cleaning liquid to the soil through the screen. Slag extracted water and slag fine powder are sprayed to the soil through the cleaning unit in an extracted water supplying unit(50). The screen includes a first screen(12), a second screen(14), and a third screen(16). The screens are divided according to the particle size of the soil.
