PURPOSE: A heat pump is provided to properly maintain the ratio of gas refrigerants and liquid refrigerants in a phase separator by sensing the amount of the liquid refrigerant in the phase separator using a liquid refrigerant sensing unit. CONSTITUTION: A heat pump comprises multiple compressors(10), a condenser(20), an expansion unit, an evaporator(30), a phase separator(50), a refrigerant injection path(52), a liquid refrigerant sensing unit and a control unit. The condenser condenses refrigerants from the compressors. The expansion unit expands the condensed refrigerants. The evaporator evaporates the expanded refrigerants. The phase separator separates the refrigerants into gas and liquid refrigerants. The refrigerant injection path guides parts of the refrigerants to the gaps between the compressors. The liquid refrigerant sensing unit senses the amount of the liquid refrigerants in the phase separator. The control unit controls the opening degree of the expansion unit depending on the sensed value. |
