PURPOSE: A method for measuring a thickness of a rolled steel plate is provided to improve a product quality and the productivity by accurately measuring a thickness because the thickness of a rolled steel plate is compensated according to a radiation penetration angle. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring a thickness of a rolled steel plate is as follows. The radiation is perpendicularly penetrated in a moving direction so that a thickness of a rolled steel plate(S1). An instant incline of the rolled steel plate is calculated based on the moving direction of the rolled steel plate(S2). A radiation penetration angle is calculated by using the instant incline of the rolled steel plate(S3). An actual thickness of the rolled steel plate is calculated by compensating the measured thickness of the rolled steel plate after penetrating the radiation(S4).
