A composition which contains a compound selected from the group consisting of (A): (see formula I)(IMIDACLOPRID), (see formula II)(ACETAMIPRID), and (see formula III)(IMIDACLOTHIZ); and a compound selected from the group consisting of (B): the compound of the formula (XXI): (see formula XXI)(METALAXYL), and the compound of the formula (XXVII): (see formula XXVII)(OXADIXYL), wherein the compound of group (A) and the compound of group (B) are present in a synergistic amount for the control of fungi and insects.
