A spectrum analyzer is provided to minimize frequency transformation loss in a slot line modulator for frequency combination by using a slot line modulator and a step recovery diode in multiplying an internal frequency to a local oscillation frequency. A spectrum analyzer includes a first amplifier(21), a matching transformer(22), a harmonic combination generator(23), a mixer(24), a second amplifier(25), and a low pass filter(26). The first amplifier(21) amplifies an internal frequency form an internal oscillator to the magnitude of a local oscillation frequency. The harmonic combination generator multiplies the internal frequency transmitted from the matching transformer to the band of the local oscillation frequency.
