1,077,202. Regulating fluid-flow. LEE CO. May 21, 1965 [May 21, 1964], No.21629/65. Heading G3H. A fluid resistor comprises a plate 10 formed with a series of orifices 24 having cylindrical inlet and outlet chambers 22, 25. The outlet chamber 25 is connected by a passage 26 to the inlet chamber of the reset orifice and the inlet chamber 22 is connected by a passage 23 to an inlet chamber of the set, which is supplied with the fluid through a port in a plate (not shown) covering the plate 10. Similarly the chamber 27 is an outlet chamber connected to a port in a second cover-plate. All the passages 23, 26 lead tangentially to and from the cylindrical chambers and the outlets from the outlet chambers are arranged so that the fluid leaves in a direction opposite to the swirling flow in the chambers.
|
