PURPOSE: A sliding plug door system for vehicles is provided to be designed for operating conditions of buses by applying a pneumatic driving method and an open and close driving method. CONSTITUTION: A sliding plug door system for vehicles comprises a door driving unit(200), an arm, a door(100). The door driving unit comprises a pneumatic cylinder, a coupling, a roller carriage, a first rotation column, and a second rotation column. The pneumatic cylinder drives an inner piston having magnetic force with pneumatic pressures. The coupling is magnetically connected to the piston. The roller carriage reciprocates with a sliding drive of the coupling according to a guide tube. The first and second rotation columns are connected to both sides of the guide tube each other to be rotated. The arm is installed in the roller carriage. The door is connected to the arm and driven according to the sliding drive and a rotation of the door driving unit.
