PURPOSE: An entrance/exit control system for authenticating the face of a driver in a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to authenticate the face of a driver in a vehicle when the vehicle enters/exits. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) wirelessly communicates with a vehicle entrance/exit control center. An image input unit(120) photographs the face of a driver in a vehicle. A storage unit(140) pre-stores face feature information of a user. A control unit(130) extracts face feature information from the photographed image data. The control unit compares the extracted face feature information with face feature information of the storage unit. The control unit performs authentication.
