PURPOSE: A contents sharing system and a control method thereof are provided to improve the satisfaction of real time communications between users by appreciating the same contents while maintaining current call scenario between the mobile communications terminal unit and a contents playback device. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communications terminal unit(100) has a all function of transmitting and receiving call to/from a contents player(300) through a communications network and reproduces media data received from the contents player. When a contents sharing event for reproduced contents is generated during a call with the mobile communications terminal unit, the contents player transforms media data of the reproduced contents into a playback format, and provides the transformed media data through a PS(Packet Switching) network.
