<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium manganese nickel multiple oxide in which the elution of manganese ion is little when being used as a positive electrode material of a lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the lithium manganese nickel multiple oxide expressed by a general formula, Li<SB>x</SB>Mn<SB>1.5</SB>Ni<SB>0.5</SB>O<SB>4-w</SB>is provided. The multiple oxide is obtained by using a multiple compound of manganese and nickel or a mixture of a manganese compound with a nickel compound as a a starting material, heating at 950-1,050°C to form a 1st precursor, heating again at 550-750°C after cooling the 1st precursor to form a 2nd precursor, cooling the 2nd precursor, mixing with lithium compound and firing 800-1,000°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
