PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to output high voltage because input and output of large current is possible, thereby using as a secondary battery of an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle requiring high power. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises a battery element of which thickness is 3-20 mm, and a battery charging capacity is 3-50 Ah, and external material packaging the battery element. The battery element comprises: a positive electrode(4) with a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer, and in which a positive electrode current collector-exposed part is formed; a negative electrode(5) having negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active material layer, and in which a negative electrode current collector-exposed part is formed; a separator inserted between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; a positive electrode tap exposed to the outside of the exterior material, electrically connected to the positive electrode current collector-exposed part; and a negative electrode tap exposed to the outside of the exterior material, electrically connected to the negative electrode current collector-exposed part. |
