The disclosure relates to the use of a compound represented by formula I or Formula II for the manufacture of a medicament for co-administration or sequential administration with (i) gemcitabine or (ii) gemcitabine and erlotinib for treating pancreatic cancer in a human patient, wherein n is 6-10 and X is hydrogen, a metallic monocationic counterion or a dicationic counterion selected from the group consisting of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium.
