Disclosed is a method for making a modular rAb.cytokine comprising: selecting one or more rAb or a functional fragment thereof that is capable of specifically binding to a target cell; combining at least one member of a cohesin-dockerin binding pair to the rAb or a functional fragment of the rAB; wherein a rAB-cohesin/dockerin is generated; attaching at least one complementary member of the cohesin-dockerin binding pair with at least one cytokine, wherein a cytokine-cohesin/dockerin is generated; and complexing the rAB-cohesin/dockerin with the cytokine-cohesin/dockerin, wherein the rAb.cytokine is generated.
