PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling pair cross of a finishing mill are provided to control the pair cross angle of upper and lower work rolls by measuring the pair cross angle in real time and comparing it with the target value. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling pair cross of a finishing mill comprises a distance measuring unit(10), a pair cross angle control unit(20), and a driving unit(40). The distance measuring unit is formed in an upper work roll and a lower work roll of a finishing mill and measures the distance between the upper work roll and the lower work roll. The pair cross angle control unit calculates a pair cross angle of the upper and lower work roll and outputs a control signal for controlling the pair cross angle. The driving unit regulates the pair cross angle according to the control signal from the pair cross angle control unit.
