The vehicle (1) has a projection laser light source for projecting information (3) on a ground (6) or rectangular surface. The information represents vehicle inter safety distance, which is a minimum threshold of distance between motor vehicles. The minimum threshold of distance is a function of vehicle speed (5) that is projected onto the ground at an edge of the display of the safety distance. The projected information advances synchronously with the movement of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a display method for a motor vehicle.
