PURPOSE: A device for preventing impurities from intruding into a submerged nozzle is provided to secure a slab with excellent quality by preventing cold molten steel from flowing into a submerged nozzle in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A device(10) for preventing impurities from intruding into a submerged nozzle is composed of partitions and fasteners. The partitions are made of a MgO-SiO2 porous material and are installed on the bottom surface(41) of tundishes. The partitions are divided into multiple segments. The segments are installed on the bottom surface of the tundishes using the fasteners. The fasteners are fixed to the bottom surface of the tundishes and support the partitions.
