A method for conversion of a diesel to multi-fuel engine prescribes use of diesel with direct injection of fuel with placed in central positions in cylinders jets and possibility of conversion to an engine that operates on light fuels, due to additional equipment in case, if required, with respective feeding and ignition systems. The diesel is transformed to an engine that operates with prolonged compression level of which in the engine at operation on light fuel is equal to the level of compression in diesel, thus the diesel does not need any reconstruction except of connection to the inlet collector of a device for supply of homogenous fuel-air mix with constant composition in different amounts depending on the level of load and installation instead of diesel jet of a spark plug that provides ignition of mix at instant when after prolonged compression and expansion of mix that follows after the upper dead point its pressure comes to value that takes place at instant of heat supply at rated mode, and respective level of compression of mix at that instant is to depend on the level of load on the engine, and exceed the rated one at all modes, and for provision of ignition of the mix it is proposed to equip the engine with a sensor that reacts on the level of pressure and is connected in any way to the combustion chamber of the engine, and can generate a signal for ignition at instant of coming to the pressure indicated above in process of its decrease, or ignition is carried out with traditional method that operates at each loading at instant when after prolonged compression and expansion of nix that follows after that its pressure does not coincide with respective value at rated mode. |
