PURPOSE: A three-dimensional face position estimation method and an apparatus using the same are provided to calculate a three-dimensional position of a user using a size of a user face region from image information recorded by a single camera. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus acquires two-dimensional image information from a single camera(320). The apparatus detects a user face region from the two-dimensional image information(330). The apparatus calculates size of the detected face region(340). The apparatus estimates a distance between a user face and the single camera using the size of the face region(360). The apparatus confirms three-dimensional position information of the user face using the estimated distance(370).
