METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PARALLEL ENTROPY ENCODING/DECODING

PURPOSE: A parallel entropy decoding and encoding method and apparatus thereof are provided to improve image encoding efficiency through an entropy encoding method. CONSTITUTION: A decoder deducts update information for a probability section and representative probability(S1410). The decoder updates the representative probability corresponding to each probability section by using the deducted update information(S1420). The decoder changes codeword into bin through the representative probability information including the updated probability section information(S1430).
