<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous gravure printing ink for paper articles, in which the amount of lower alcohols contained in an aqueous coating agent composition is made as small as possible and which is good in printing suitability and drying property when being applied on paper substrates as objects having low permeability, such as coat papers; and to provide an aqueous coating agent for paper articles, which can be applied as aqueous overprint varnish for paper articles, being good in drying property and leveling property. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous coating agent composition for paper articles includes an aqueous medium and an emulsion-type aqueous resin. The aqueous medium is composed of water and 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol, or water, 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol and a 1-4C lower alcohol. The content of the 1-4C lower alcohol is ≤30 mass%, and the content of the 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol is 0.1 to 2.5 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
