<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly reproduce 3-D image contents. <P>SOLUTION: A device plane storing graphics, video, or background images is a storage region where an L region to store images for L and an R region to store images for R are disposed in an array. The configurations of the device planes are defined as to the entirety of device planes each of which is two images worth of storage, and include image resolutions. In the case of PlayList playback other than KEEP_RESOLUTION playback, the resolutions of graphics, video, and background images are aligned with the resolution of video.
