<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that hardly causes changes in magnification of a formed image even when a tensile stress is induced in a recording material by a loosening mechanism or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes: toner image forming means forming a toner image; a transfer device 15 transferring the toner image onto a sheet by using a photoreceptor drum 11; a fixing unit 20 fixing the toner image to the sheet; a sheet supply unit 30 housing sheets, loosening the sheets into individual sheets and supplying each sheet to a transfer unit Tp; and a control unit 500 controlling the rotational speed of the photoreceptor drum 11.
