<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct variation of exit-side plate thickness caused by variation of coolant retention length. <P>SOLUTION: In a rolling machine configured to supply a continuous rolling object to at least between a pair of rolls for rolling, it is detected that the retention amount of coolant to be supplied between the rolling object and the rolls on the rolling object before supplied to between the rolls is increased and decreased in a range of a predetermined threshold or more within a predetermined time interval, and the thickness of the rolling object after rolling is detected. When the detected thickness of the rolling object after rolling is increased and decreased in a range of a predetermined threshold or more within a predetermined time interval, the retention amount of the coolant is controlled based on the detection result of the retention amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
