<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out stable rolling by suppressing vibratory shape variation through appropriate shape control of a material to be rolled even in a situation where rolling speed is changed. <P>SOLUTION: In a shape control method for a material 1 to be rolled that is rolled in a rolling mill 100, a predicted shape variation amount when the rolling speed of the material 1 to be rolled is changed is obtained, and when the predicted shape variation amount is within a predetermined range, corrective control of plate shape caused by the change of the rolling speed is not carried out. The speed variation rate ΔVr(t) of the material 1 to be rolled is obtained, a predicted rolling load variation amount ΔP<SB POS="POST">f</SB>(t) at the speed variation rate ΔVr(t) is obtained, and a predicted shape variation amount is obtained from the predicted rolling load variation amount ΔP<SB POS="POST">f</SB>(t). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
