<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring radioactivity of a fuel assembly, which can further shorten measurement time of radioactivity. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring radioactivity of a fuel assembly includes: a radiation signal generation device 3 including a LaBr<SB POS="POST">3</SB>(Ce) scintillator 4; an AD converter 12; a digital signal processor 13; and a data analyzer 18. The digital signal processor 13 includes an FPGA 14 and a CPU 17. The LaBr<SB POS="POST">3</SB>(Ce) scintillator 4 on which γ-rays radiated from the fuel assembly arranged in water of a fuel pool are made incident emits scintillator light, and a photoelectron multiplier 5 converts the light into a radiation detection signal to be an electric signal. A wave height analyzer 15 in the FPGA 14 inputs the radiation detection signal having a digital waveform generated by the AD converter 12 and converts the digital waveform into a trapezoidal waveform to find out a maximum wave height value. The data analyzer 18 determines the quantity of a target nuclide by using a plurality of inputted maximum wave height values and finds out burn-up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
