<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium for air cleaning, which has sufficient whiteness and dust visibility and has low ventilation resistance and high deodorization performance. <P>SOLUTION: The filter medium for air cleaning includes activated carbon and a thermoplastic resin between base material layers. Titanium oxide is included in an upstream side surface of the filter medium, and an L value of the upstream side surface is 80 or more.
