<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which an image identifier extracted from an image having high correlation between local regions in the image or an image with signals concentrating on a specific frequency has a lower identification capability that is a degree for identifying a different image. <P>SOLUTION: A region feature is calculated for each dimension from two sub-regions in an image that are associated with each dimension composing an image identifier being information for identifying an image, each dimension is categorized into plural types, a threshold value is determined for each type, and a difference value is quantized using the threshold value as a value of each dimension of the image identifier. Two sub-regions associated with a certain dimension and two sub-regions associated with another dimension are different in a combination of shapes, and where two sub-regions associated with a certain dimension and two sub-regions associated with another dimension are identical in a combination of shapes, a distance between the two sub-regions associated with the certain dimension and the two sub-regions associated with the other dimension is equal to or greater than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
