The invention relates in particular to a method for producing a series of base lenses which cover a predetermined power range, wherein each base lens of the series has a base power different from the base powers of the other base lenses of the series and has at least one diffractive base grating, wherein the method comprises the steps of: establishing the base powers of each base lens of the series; calculating the base grating of each base lens of the series in such a way as to minimize the colour fringe of the respective base lens with the established base power in a predetermined range of the spectacle lens.
