<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass panel unit and a curtain wall with fire-resistant/fireproof performance, capable of shortening the construction time of a glass curtain wall and reducing construction man-hours. <P>SOLUTION: A glass panel unit 50 of this invention includes a spandrel part 54 and a vision part 56. The spandrel part 54 is configured as a spandrel unit 64 comprising a glass plate 58, a fireproof board 60, and a four-side frame 62. The vision part 56 is configured as a vision unit 70 comprising a glass plate 66 and a four-side frame 68. The spandrel unit 64 and the vision unit 70 are manufactured in a manufacturing plant of the glass panel unit 50, and connected and integrated by a connecting member.
