<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a path-fill algorithm when laying out a text at the periphery of an object. <P>SOLUTION: A method of arranging text lines on a page includes the steps of: acquiring an electronic document (ED) including a text line for arrangement on a page having an exclusion region (ER); acquiring a path of the page including a first sub-path corresponding to a margin of the page and a second sub-path corresponding to the ER on the page; calculating a region on the page excluding the margin and ER using a path-fill algorithm inputting the path; selecting a line band which intersects with the ER on the page and having a size of a text line on the page after calculating the region; and specifying a plurality of sections based upon the intersection of the region and line band, and rendering the page by arranging a first part of the text line in a first section among the plurality of sections and a second part of the text line in a second section among the plurality of sections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
