<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of rapidly controlling a temperature of air sent to a recording medium on which an image is formed. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording device includes a fixing device 11 for fixing a recording image of a recording medium in which recording has been performed by a recording means. The fixing device 11 includes: a heater 135 for heating interior air; and a fan 133 for moving the interior air along a flow passage. The fixing device 11 can fix an image by sending air heated by the heater 135 to a portion of the recording medium where the recording image is formed. In the fixing device 11, a fixing device suction port 503 and a fixing device exhaust port 504 which can be opened/closed are provided in the flow passage. A cross section of the flow passage with the fixing device suction port 503 and the fixing device exhaust port 504 opened is set larger than that with the fixing device suction port 503 and the fixing device exhaust port 504 closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
